    Purpose Of Role
    A unique opportunity has arisen for an experienced Project Manager/interior designer to join Kahn Ladmark Ltd.
    The role is a part-time position, approximately three days (24hrs) per week though working hours/days are negotiable, however some evening/weekend working and possible additional hours during key projects will be required.
    All our venues are individual in characteristic; lovingly and expertly designed considering the history of the buildings and surrounding areas; creating just the right environment for our customers to enjoy.
    With several new sites and revamps of existing venues in the pipeline, this role will be involved in the design /renovation of internal and external spaces, including, furnishings, fixtures and fittings, lighting and colour schemes.
    Tasks may include:
    • developing initial ideas and acquiring key information about potential projects, discussing requirements and setting project schedules

    Key Duties and Responsibilities
    • understanding functional needs and the needs of the people using the building, developing design concepts and establishing final briefs.
    • manage the costing process considering materials and costs according to set budgets and negotiating project fees
    • conducting feasibility studies for projects
    • researching and gathering information and photographs relating to the project
    • producing 'sample' or 'mood' boards for presentation to executive;
    • sourcing properties
    • Project managing properties
    • interior design/building work
    • negotiating Skills
    • project management and contract dealings

    Desired Skills and Experience
    • Managing, sourcing products, e.g. fittings, furniture, lighting, finishes, decoration and dressing;
    • preparing detailed working drawings, designs, plans, models and schemes;
    • supervising work at the design stage and on site;
    • project manager duties including working closely with quantity surveyors to establish costs
    and work schedules on larger projects, with architects and other design professionals to
    determine the best use of space, and with manufacturers and contractors
    • standards check on the “finished product” once the project is complete
    • ability to manage multiple projects of varying sizes
    In addition, the interior designer may also sometimes act as a project manager throughout the construction stage. This will involve coordinating the design on site and even managing the construction team. Experience in structural alterations would be a bonus
